Dec 06, 2016 - Don't expect something outrages fot this price etc. It is dirty and the staff is kind of grumpy. The location is great and the bed linnen are soft. For one night its okay, but If you want to stay longer, I would not reccomend this hostel.
Nov 26, 2016 - I found the Southend Hostel practical, but quite dirty and not very cozy. Only one lightbulb was working in the lounge, so reading was not an option. If you are not careful when flushing some of the toilets, the water will keep running. The kitchen has only two hot plates and I had to wait 30 mins to cook a small pot of pasta.

Apr 11, 2016 - It has been the worst place that I've ever slept. It was dirty, plenty of stains and with a huge smell of dust. Kitchen was the worst part. Believe when I say that we changed our menu to not using anything from the kitchen. Even our own tuppers were used as a mug for the café.
Jan 12, 2016 - It's one station away from the Hauptbahnhof which is not so convenient, and is rather difficult to find. The rooms are quite old and always dim, the beds are shaking a little bit...I didn't feel welcomed by the hostel. And the lift is broken, which made me carry my case up for 4 floors. Maybe that's why the price is cheap. But the staff is quite nice.

Jun 01, 2015 - Everything was fine and for reasonable price. Just I would appreciate more developed kitchen with a cooker, cutlery, fridge. Wonderful and friendly staff, thanks to Jochen! Definitely stay with Southend Hostel Bremen!

Apr 05, 2015 - The whole hostel smells cigarette, it is not too confortable. Bathrooms are very clean, but not the rest of the rooms. Staff very very friendly and willing to help, they speak english. Perfect location, you can reach everywhere by walking.
