Dec 23, 2013 - A quiet little hostel in the upper part of Manhatten away from most of the busy areas of New York. Central Park was right next door which was great for a morning stroll but it was a bit far from all of the main attractions as I soon found out.
The staff were alright, not many of them round to chat to, but the ones who were there we're helpful.
Rooms themselves were neat and clean mostly. Good place to stay if you don't want to be in the thick of things all the time. Transport after hours was a bit of an issue though.
Jul 13, 2013 - Hostelsclub LOST MY RESERVATION, and I was charged anyway.
We were charged MORE for room than expected.

Oct 01, 2012 - Je n'ai pas l'habitude de me plaindre, je suis le genre de voyageur à passer la nuit à l'aéroport et à dormir parterre. C'est la première fois que je suis déçu par un hostel.
- Les employés sont ok mais pas très agréables.
- La chambre ne correspond pas à ce que j'avais réservé (pas de WC)
- Un seul WC pour tout l'étage.
- Les lits sont dans un état pitoyable avec des ressorts du matelas qui nous rentre dans le dos.
- Pas de casier digne de ce nom.
- Ma chambre était au 5ieme étage sans ascenseur.. super avec de grosses valises.
- on annonce un Wi-Fi, en fait il n'est disponible que dans le réfectoire. Super quand on a deux bâtiments à traverser et 5 étages à descendre et à monter.
- Pour le Wi-Fi dans les chambres il faut payer.
Même s'il est très bien situé (seul point réellement positif), le tarif est prohibitif pour la qualité.
Je ne conseille pas. 60 dollars payés, ça en vaut à peine 25.
Mar 04, 2012 - Мне понравилось приветливое расположение сотрудников хостела к гостям.Внимание и желание помочь.устроится и чувствовать себя комфортно.
В основном все хорошо, удобное расположение , дружелюбный настрой сотрудников.
К недостаткам ,мелочи но важные. Не работал телефон аппарат.Подносы имели запах неприятный ,не было мыла в контейнере умывальника в женском туалете .Но в основном все нормально
Хочется пожелать улучшения сервиса и хороших гостей.

Music too loud at the breakfast.
Air condition very noisy in the room!
Jun 13, 2011 - Jazz on the Park Hostel cancelled my reservation 2 weeks before departure and didn't not refund my deposit either. I have sent 2 e-mails but there is no reply from them until today. I'm upset and would advise anyone to stay away from this accomodation.
Mar 13, 2011 - When I arrived I realized by a banner that the place was CLOSED. After asking people in the streets they told me to move to the corner where they were still working. I went there and nobody answered the door. After hitting it hard as hell a guy from maintenance came and opened. He called the onduty manager (who was sleeping) who told me "didn't you receive a cancellation email?" Of course I did not.
Finally, I ended up at 2.30 AM under the rain walking with all my laguage, wandering through the streets to find another hostel.
Totally unacceptable. This is far away my worst hostel experience.
Feb 26, 2011 - THE JAZZ ON THE PARK hostel is CLOSED!!!
I went all the way to uptown with my big luggage walking up to 106 th street.
After many door rings, the staff had told me the hostel has been closed since december 2010.
I was amazed why i could make the reservation when the hostel is not even working!
I request to hostelslcub.com to close the reservation for the Jazz on the Park hostel.
I want my money back! I paid for the booking fee- 2.00 EUR, and 10% deposit 2.20EUR.
I am afraid if other fee is charged from my credit card.
Please refund my money immediately! and close the reservation account for the "JAZZ ON THE PARK" hostel.!!!
