Due to the proximity of the sea, the design of the house was based on the following question, if I were a castaway, what would my shelter be like?

The wooden wreckage and the export crates inspired the creation of the lockers and the sofa in the living room. At the main door, made of wood, a brass porthole of a boat was placed.

The ceilings are made with varnished wooden slats with four different tones.

The rooms (mixed and female) have a capacity of four people each, allowing to be quieter, in which each has a led light support and a socket near the cushion. The bathroom is connected to the rooms and has a large shower base for a comfortable and relaxing bath.

In the kitchen guests will have at their disposal, besides all that they need to cook their meals, individual and identified cabinets so that they can store their grocery stores.

In outdoor space guests can take a shower after a day at the beach, store their surfboards, have meals, socialize or even sunbathe.

Castaway has a partnership with a surf school located on Baleal beach that can provide surf lessons or rent equipment. We also offer yoga classes and boat trips along the coast.

Next to the boardwalk that links Ferrel to Baleal and next to a self service laundry, within a radius of 500m guests will have access to ATM, pharmacy, minimarkets, bakers and various types of restaurants (pizzeria, gourmet hamburger , grills, sandwiches, and typical portuguese food).

There is also a tourist bus, with a trailer for surfboards, which runs several times a day at our door and travels to several beaches and Peniche.
